Network activities are supported to advance progress in three areas: industry, science and education. Activities in each of these areas are overseen by a standing committee, each headed by a member of the network steering committee. In addition, standing committees have been formed for activities in software environments specification, benchmarking and network infrastructure. The network budget are divided between these standing committees on the basis of the costs of activities.
